Welcome to Zadi ("we", "our", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the Zadi mobile application ("App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

Zadi is a nutrition tracking application that uses artificial intelligence to help users identify foods, track calories and macronutrients, monitor fasting schedules, and manage dietary goals. The App is available on iOS and Android.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Zadi. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent. By using the App, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Account Registration

You may not use Zadi as a guest without creating an account. If you choose to create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it as necessary.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

• Free Tier: Zadi offers a free version with limited features, including up to 3 AI food scans per day.
• Zadi PRO: Premium features are available through auto-renewable subscriptions (weekly or annual) or a one-time lifetime purchase, managed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
• Free Trial: The weekly subscription may include a free trial period. You will not be charged during the trial. After the trial ends, the subscription automatically renews at the stated price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your device's Settings > Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google per their respective refund policies.

5. AI-Generated Content

Zadi uses artificial intelligence (Claude by Anthropic) to identify foods, estimate nutritional content, and provide dietary insights. AI-generated information is provided for informational purposes only and may not always be accurate. Zadi is not a substitute for professional medical or nutritional advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making significant dietary changes.

6. User Content and Data

• Food photos you scan are processed by our AI service and are not stored on our servers after analysis.
• Your nutrition data, meal logs, and profile information are stored locally on your device and optionally synced to our cloud service (Supabase) if you create an account.
• Progress photos are stored exclusively on your device and are never uploaded to any server.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Circumvent any access restrictions or usage limits
• Use automated tools to access the App's AI features
• Share your account credentials with others

8. Health Disclaimer

Zadi is a nutrition tracking tool, not a medical device. The calorie counts, macro breakdowns, micronutrient reports, and AI coach suggestions are estimates and should not be relied upon for medical decisions. Features like adaptive calorie targets are algorithmic approximations, not prescriptions. If you have a medical condition, eating disorder, or are pregnant, consult your doctor before using Zadi.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and branding of Zadi are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our written permission.

10. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen within the App. Account deletion permanently removes all your data from our servers. Local data on your device is also cleared. This action cannot be undone.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zadi and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to health outcomes based on AI-generated nutritional information.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Dubai, UAE.
